Our classes return on MONDAY 8TH JANUARY 2024.

First and foremost, we are very much looking forward to what will be our 5th Show and 1st show back since Covid. "Take 5" which will be a celebration and showcase of ALL school pupils for 3 nights in the Beach Ballroom from 13-15th June. All details of this will appear on here as we progress towards the show and private pupil/parent information can be found on our private members page on this website. Please check with staff for the private code to access this page.

Congratulations to all our December ISTD tap exam candidates who absolutely smashed their gradings with EVERY child gaining a distinction mark of 80+ right up to 92!  We are currently waiting on our IDTA results but our previous June Gradings, Everyone passed with flying colours and marks were fantastic, with many high scores and even some in the 90's!!

A special shout out to April Grassick who, following her wonderful score of 93/100  in her Grade 5 Ballet exam has been nominated by her examiner for the IDTA Theatre Awards. April will be competing at the 2024 awards with candidates from over the World. Congratulations April. Proof that hard work/dedication really does pay off.

Many congratulations to our team of 17 competitive students who took home a large number of medals and trophies at the recent Grampian Stage Dance Festival during the September Holiday Weekend.

A HUGE shout out and congratulations to Monroe Menhinick who has reached her first ever Ballet Pre Championship final. Not only did Monroe reach the final 6, but placed a very credible 4th place from an initial large 1st round in the Zetland Juvenile Pre Championships. We are all very proud of you Monroe.

A huge congratulations to 5 of our students who took part in the "Follow Your Dreams" National finals in the Winter Gardens in Blackpool during the October Holidays. Between the 5 of them, they took home NINE national titles, and numerous r/up, 3rd and 4th places as well as honourable mentions in their individual age groups and styles. Fabulous work from April Grassick, Andrea McNee, Monroe Menhinick, Sophia Reid and Sophie Morrison.

We were very excited to have some of our Senior Students alongside some of our teachers who went to  London back in March to dance in front of 65,000 people at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Summer Showdown between Saracens and Harlequins Rugby teams. Another fantastic opportunity for our dancers having only last year and 2 years previously been invited to dance at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone! Our next performance with the Pro Exel Company will be performing at the Formula E event in July  at the Excel Centre in London and we can't wait to start rehearsals!

We also performed in the Summer at the annual Friends of Duthie Park Family Fun Day on 20th August, where many of our recreational pupils showcased their talent and routines from class.

Please also see our Facebook page (Sharon Gill School of dance official page) for all up to date info. And don't forget to check out our Instagram: Sharon Gill dance for all pictures from classes and displays/competitions.

Kind regards
