Our inaugural KWT "Student of the year" award in memory of our dearest, and biggest supporter Kevin Thorburn, (whom we tragically lost last year), was won by student Belle Coull. Many students were nominated in different subjects for their continued work ethic, improvement and class etiquette, and Belle was chosen as the overall winner.

Last June, saw our 5th Show which was our 1st show for SIX YEARS! "Take 5". The show was a celebration and showcase of ALL school pupils for 3 nights in the Beach Ballroom from 13-15th June. It was the best week!

We have also just completed our summer session gradings and at the time of writing, our ISTD students entered, passed their Modern and Tap exams gaining very credible scores between 74 and 90 with over 90% gaining distinction (over 80 marks!)

2 of our students: Sophia Reid and Belle Coull have successfully auditioned for the Beyond Broadway production of 'Cats" which will take place in HMT In Aberdeen in August. Great job girls and we are very excited to come and watch you on that incredible stage.

Shout out to former senior student: April Grassick who, following her wonderful score of 93/100 in her Grade 5 Ballet exam was nominated by her examiner for the IDTA Theatre Awards. April competed at the 2024 awards with candidates from over the World. Congratulations April. Proof that hard work/dedication really does pay off. On top of that, April has successfully auditioned and started furthering her training at the prestigious Italia Conti College in Surrey full time from September.

Congratulations to 2 of our youth students: Monroe Menhinick and Andrea McNee who have both been successful in gaining places at the SMB ballet Associate scheme for 2025.

Many congratulations to our team of competitive students who took home a large number of medals, trophies and titles, in the last year including Sophia Reid who won champion Dancer in her age group and Andrea McNee who had the highest scoring solo at the recent Follow your dreams and the National Jazz Champion title at the National finals in Blackpool 2024. A HUGE shout out also to:

at the recent 2025 Clyde Coast Pre Championships in Dumbarton.

We are always very excited to have some of our Students performing at some of the biggest sporting events in the UK. In March 2023 we danced in front of 65,000 people at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Summer Showdown between Saracens and Harlequins Rugby teams. Another fantastic opportunity for our dancers having only last year and 2 years previously been invited to dance at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone! This was followed by our next performance with the Pro Exel Company at the Formula E event in July 2024 at the Excel Centre in London and they absolutely SMASHED IT! What a day and what a great event to have on their CV's!

We also performed in the Summer at the annual Friends of Duthie Park Family Fun Day on 20th August 2024, where many of our recreational pupils showcased their talent and routines from class, and we have already been booked for the next event this year in August 2025.

We love seeing our students achieve so much and we cannot wait to see what the rest of 2025 and into 2026 brings for both our recreational and competitive students alike.
