The school is run by Sharon McWilliam (nee Gill). Sharon attended the Edith Duncan School of Dance from the age of 2 and a half until the age of 16 winning 4 Scottish Tap titles and 2 Scottish Ballet titles along the way.

Sharon also appeared with the Scottish Ballet in their version of ‘Napoli’ and played the lead part of Clara in the 'Nutcracker' at the tender age of 7. Sharon was also very successful at the BATD scholarships held in Manchester winning the ‘Best Tapper' trophy twice as well as taking the Ballet Scholarship title at Junior level.

At the age of 16, Sharon went on to further her career by attending the London College of Dance in Bedford and graduated in 1990 with distinction in teaching having gained Associates in Ballet, Tap and Modern as well as gaining advanced exam levels in Tap, Ballet, Modern, Greek and National. Also qualifications in Anatomy, physiology & child psychology.

Since graduating, Sharon opened her school of dance for children age 3 and up, whilst also having taught many adult classes in Line Dancing, Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Stretch ‘n’ Tone throughout the City.

 

 

Sharon has also choreographed many Shows for Theatre Groups including ‘Singing in the rain’; ‘A Chorus Line'; ' Fame’; ‘The Boyfriend'; ' Glory of Gothenburg' (for the Edinburgh Fringe), 'Roxy Rendevous' (also for the Edinburgh Fringe), many Pantomimes, ‘Disco Inferno' and most recently the West End Musical 'We Will Rock You'. Sharon is currently working on Attic Theatre's pantomime 'Snow White' and looking forward yet again to be choreographing Attic's summer show, which is the British amateur premier of 'Daddy Cool'.

Sharon is also the head coach of Aberdeen Cheerleaders' and is qualified through the British Cheerleading Association. Sharon has also been invited to judge at a cheerleading challenge next April in Glasgow.

Sharon is married to Simon who has his own Electrical Business and has a daughter called Morgan and a step daughter called Lisa.
 

 

Highland teacher Miss Kelly Mackay
Kelly has been dancing since the age of 2 1/2, studying highland, tap, ballet, disco, modern and cheerleading. Kelly won 2 highland Scottish Championships as well as becoming a Rock and Roll Champion.
Kelly is one of Sharon's Cheerleading Assistant Coaches as well as being part of Redz & Co, the official dance team of Aberdeen Football Club whom were recently placed 15th in the World at the 2007 World Dance Championships in Florida.
Kelly is also currently studying for her teaching certificate in Disco.
